I AM A WRITER
The characters i create, aren't me
They are a part of me. The part who is;
The adventurer
The romantic
The warrior
The hero
The villain
The crazy
The friend
The enemy
these are parts i hide, the parts i wish to be, the parts i have been and the parts i will be.
Every truth is based on a story
your story.

My journey as a writer began in Goa, India, where I started working on my first novel, Chino and the Boy Scouts. What began as a simple story inspired by my childhood adventures and scouting trips slowly evolved into something much deeper. I spent over two years shaping that book—drafting, redrafting, and allowing the story to grow naturally. It was eventually published in March 2020 by Brown Dog Books, and it marked the beginning of my life as an author.

Today, my writing routine has evolved. I mostly write in the evenings, giving myself a few quiet hours to immerse in my work. Many of my characters are inspired by real people I’ve met over the years, and that connection to reality is something I value deeply. I naturally gravitate toward suspense and love creating stories that keep readers guessing—and hopefully leave them saying, “I didn’t see that coming.”

I always begin with an outline and work on the plot carefully, but I also leave room for improvisation. For me, the most enjoyable parts of writing are drafting and revising—shaping the raw material into something meaningful.
After Chino and the Boy Scouts, I didn’t want to limit myself to a single genre or age group. I’m interested in writing everything from general adult fiction to young adult and children’s books. In November 2023, I released my second book, The Tale of Elgol and the Witch, published by February 30th Publishers in Scotland, with cover art by Yamane Taiji. This book explores a darker, more mythical landscape, and was largely inspired by the wild beauty of Skye and my time in Scotland.

Both Goa and Scotland have had a strong influence on my writing—whether it’s the beaches of the Konkan coast or the rugged mountains of the Highlands, nature always finds a place in my stories.
I’ve learned a lot through the challenges of editing and publishing, especially as English isn’t my first language. But one thing that has always stayed with me is this simple advice: finish what you start. Writing, for me, is more than a craft—it feels like a calling.

Right now, I’m working on a trilogy inspired by Chino and the Boy Scouts, and I’m excited to dive back into that world. My books are filled with easter eggs, hidden clues, and twists—so if you enjoy stories with surprises and strong emotional undercurrents, I think you’ll find something to connect with.

Thank you for reading my work, and for supporting my journey as a writer. There’s a lot more to come.

Once upon a time in Scotland.

Meet Elgol, a mischievous orphan boy with plenty of free time and a knack for getting into trouble. One day, he plays a clever prank on a witch and goes to bed feeling quite pleased with himself. However, the next morning, he awakens to a startling discovery – he's grown to giant proportions, with his head nearly touching the roof of his tiny hut! While Elgol is initially delighted with his newfound height, he soon realises that he can't control his growth. Worried about the consequences of being an enormous giant, he embarks on a remarkable journey to find a way to reverse the magic and return to his normal size. During his adventure, Elgol encounters the mountains, the birds and the clouds. Along the way, he learns important lessons about acceptance, self-discovery, and the true meaning of family. As he seeks his true self, Elgol must confront his fears and discover the courage within himself to overcome obstacles and outwit the witch who cursed him.

Synopsis

Chino is talented, ambitious, and eager to prove his excellence to his father. It's the final year of school, and Chino learns of the existence of a map, through which he might unravel the legend of The GW, an item long speculated to be a myth and highly coveted at Eden Gardens Grammar School. On their way to the school's annual camp, they set off on what they think is a suitable adventure, to find their treasure and gain acclaim.
Little does he know, he is not the only one bold enough to embark on this quest. What at first seems like a fun, if academically hazardous, venture, spirals more and more into a world of danger and magic, as the school's hidden past and depths reveal themselves to the ironically unprepared scouts.

Chino and the Boy Scouts introduce the enigmatic realm of Summerhill and its mysterious link to India. The most notable characteristic of which is its unique schooling system, which is taught via Scouting and not magic.
